Alexander Calder Mobiles

After looking at some of Alexander Calder's mobiles we made our own using soft wire.  Students looped the wire to make their own shapes and we helped them wrap and tie them in place.  The students then bent them to create more unique organic shapes.  We colored tissue paper with markers and then sprayed it with water to create colorful abstract paper to use for our colorful shape.  Teachers and helpers glue acetate to each shape.  Students wrapped and glued their colorful tissue paper onto the shape of their choice and then we finished them off by spraying the other shapes black.  We are excited to see how they will look displayed together at our end of the year show!
